HAWE Hydraulik Company Introduction

HAWE is a medium-sized family business and an active international enterprise headquartered in Munich, Germany. Its subsidiaries in Europe, North America, and Asia provide a global sales, service, and engineering network.

Manufacturing plants in Germany supply customers worldwide. An excellent depth of added value, efficient processes, and meticulous attention to quality ensure the reliability, robustness, and long lifespan of HAWE products. HAWE Hydraulik aims to integrate over 70 years of experience in hydraulics with new technologies to deliver innovative tools.

History

In 1949, a few years after the end of the war, Karl Heilmeier and Wilhelm Weinlein established the Heilmeier & Weinlein company in Munich, Germany, as a business for "manufacturing hydraulic devices.

This venture united the technical invention of one founder with the commercial skills of another. The business started with a workshop and warehouse of 100 square meters and two offices of 30 square meters.

A highly developed radial piston pump and the prospect of their first significant order formed the foundation of their early success and the company's continued existence to this day.

The number of employees and orders increased, and new products were added. In the early 1950s, Heilmeier & Weinlein moved to its first custom-building in East Munich.

The additional name HAWE Hydraulik had already evolved from the German phonetic spelling of the initials of Heilmeier and Weinlein. In 2002, years later, Heilmeier und Weinlein, Fabrik für Ölhydraulik GmbH & Co. KG was transformed into HAWE Hydraulik GmbH & Co. KG.
