Autonics Temperature Controllers

Autonics Temperature Controllers or Autonics temperature displays are compatible with a wide variety of thermocouples such as K, R, S, T, J and support resistance sensors like PT100. This display boasts high accuracy and excellent quality.

One of the most important parameters for classifying these controllers is their dimensions.

Another common name for this controller is Autonics Thermostat.

Applications of Autonics Temperature Controllers

Temperature controllers are used in situations where temperature measurement and control are required.

Such as when it is necessary to heat or cool an object or space and maintain the temperature within a specific range.

Types of Temperature Controllers

Open Loop Temperature Controller

Closed Loop Temperature Controller

.

Open Loop Temperature Controller

The simplest form of controller that continuously applies heating or cooling without considering the final required temperature.

  • For example: car interior heating system

Closed Loop Temperature Controller

The output temperature is continuously adjusted and measured within a closed loop. This results in a constant output at a specific temperature. Thus, it can be said that closed loop temperature control is more complex than open loop.

  • For example: car with climate control system

Models of Autonics Display

Various series of Autonics displays are produced with unique functionalities and applications, including a few models such as:

TC

TCN

TK

TX, TM

Characteristics and Functionality of Temperature Controllers

The temperature characteristics of the target control must be known before selecting the controller to ensure optimal temperature control.

  • Heating capacity: ease of heating in proportion to the control target (electric furnace, etc.)
  • Static characteristics: heating capability in proportion to heater capacity
  • Dynamic characteristics: transient response specifications during initial heating
  • External disturbances: factors causing temperature variations, such as the opening and closing of the furnace door, entry and exit of materials, or changes in ambient temperature

Control Outputs of Autonics Temperature Controllers

Depending on the selected model, various outputs are available.

These outputs generally include:

Relay output, SSR output, Current output, Transfer output

To control the ON/OFF operation of devices through the internal relay contact

  • Some models of Autonics displays have two relays for output.

SSR Output

In the Autonics display, this output provides DC voltage as an output for controlling SSR.

  • If a solid-state relay is used, maintenance will have low settings and access to a semi-permanent duty cycle.

Current Output

Autonics temperature controllers feature a current output for driving external power controls (SCR units), control valves, etc.

Transfer Output

For transferring the current temperature (PV) externally.

  • Transfer is in the form of current

If the output transfer is in 20-4 mA and DC, the internal output is set within the lower limit range, creating an output of 4 to 20.

Standards for Using Autonics Temperature Controllers

  • Use specific compensating cables and wires.
  • A 3-wire connection circuit for using RTD thermal sensors such as PT100, etc.
  • Use compensating wire of the same length and diameter as the RTD sensor.
  • Place the input signal wire of the Autonics temperature controller in a position away from excessive noise.
  • Use shielded wire for the input signal line, and a filter capacitor in the power supply line if the input signal wire is near the power wire.
  • Avoid placing the Autonics display next to devices and tools that produce high noise, such as sewing and welding machines, high-capacity SCR controllers.
